Art & Soul

I LOVE Art. I mean, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Art.  Most people love the Impressionists.  What's not to love about Monet, Manet, Pissarro, Renoir, Gauguin, Cezanne or Van Gogh?  Although I'd really love Van Gogh a whole lot more if he was sporting an ear, but that's another story.

Who doesn't get a little weak in the knees when viewing Monet's Water Lilies? Or Renoir's Dance at  Le Moulin de la Galette?  When I was a little girl my bedroom had numerous Degas ballerina faux paintings decorating my walls.  I was destined to be a ballerina or lover of art.

As an entrepreneur, I've done so many creative and fascinating things, but who knew becoming an art representative would fall into my lap, thus starting another addition to my burgeoning resume.

It happened all so innocently.  I checked my LinkedIn email and lo and behold there it was:  A note from an artist who needed someone to write his Bio. (See below) As a freelance writer, I took this assignment on like it was my mission.  "Of course," I wrote back to him.  "I'd be delighted to try."

Through the course of texting and talking, he finally sent me articles written about him along with some of his art.  I was fascinated.  His art is quite unusual.  Creative.  Distinctly different. Marketing ideas began to ebb and flow in my mind.  I shared my thoughts about ways he could brand himself and exhibit his art.  Next thing I know, he asked me to represent him and in less than a nano second, I agreed.

So, I am now a Fine Art Representative.  And beyond delighted.  I am ecstatic to be surrounded by creative artists and will be sharing their stories and art on my blog.  And best of all, if you find a piece of art that touches your soul, contact me for pricing: 520.241.4100.

I still LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Art from days gone by, but now I am in LOVE with the new artists I am representing.  Move over Manet, Monet and Van Gogh...There are new kids on the block and they are the next sensation.

Introducing:

France
Paris?  The Eiffel Tower?  The Seine?  Sipping wine in a charming café avec trois amis?
Oui?
Non!
The artist France is taking the art world by storm with his exuberant whimsical acrylic paintings and charcoal drawings.  Native to Amsterdam, this flamboyant artist throws caution to the wind and delves into a Tsunami of uninhibited emotion while listening to Be Bop, Hard Rock, Debussy and Rachmaninoff, which immerses him to create playful and vibrant images, making viewers feel his passion as their imagination soar.

First discovered at the Mayzone Art Club, his art was applauded for its genuine untamed spontaneity.  By the late 80’s, he became part of the Los Angeles Underground and Mainstream Art Movement.

His eclectic works are featured in films, TV Commercials and Videos.  Commissioned paintings are in residences of art aficionados & collectors, commercial spaces including galleries, hospitals, nightclubs, retail spaces and restaurants.

France has been recognized in newspapers and magazines for his unabashed natural flair,  painting with bursts of energy, color and exhilaration.  Some works are controversial; while others are up for interpretation.  All have that special Je Ne Sais Quoi that makes France evolutionary to the art world as he challenges and pushes the boundaries.

Earlier works are edgy have been compared to Picasso on steroids.  While others are free-form and post modern.  His latest work, titled:  La Collection Mademoiselle is his depiction of the many facets of a woman.

With over 365 registered works, numbered, named paintings, mixed media & 12 sculptures, his art is constantly evolving and like fine wine from France, his work changes over time.
